When Storm Large walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage at 51, she wasn’t a newcomer to music. She had already spent decades performing, released multiple albums, toured with Pink Martini, and previously competed on Rock Star: Supernova. Still, she admitted that stepping onto the AGT stage felt like an enormous and terrifying opportunity.

For her audition, Storm chose the timeless classic “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.” But instead of delivering the familiar smooth version, she completely transformed the song. Her arrangement was darker, more dramatic, and filled with the raw rock power that made her voice instantly stand out.

The judges were captivated. Sofía Vergara praised Storm’s powerful and sexy voice, while Simon Cowell was impressed by both her vocals and her larger-than-life personality. By the end of the performance, all four judges were on their feet.
